Have you reached a milestone or major change? Are you at a crossroads, or about to enter a new stage in life?

I’m Heather Klassen, a Marriage Officiant and Life-Cycle Celebrant™ performing ceremonies in Calgary, Canmore and Banff. With my specialized training in ceremony creation and rituals, I can help you find meaning in the joys and challenges in life.

Sometimes in all the busyness of life, we don’t take time to mark the significant transitions in our lives. We miss out on the power of ceremony to celebrate, provide healing, and strengthen the ties we have with family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Whether you envision a large celebratory gathering, or something small and more private to honour a difficult loss, I will craft a one-of-a kind ceremony that is tailored specifically to your needs and life circumstances. I have access to an extensive library of resources, and can provide suggestions for readings, rituals, poetry, and ways to include your family and friends.

Some of the many milestones to be honoured or celebrated with ceremonies include:

Welcoming a new baby

Anniversaries

Wedding vow renewals

House warmings

Pets

Coming of age

Milestone birthdays

New business

Retirement

Divorce

End of cancer treatment

Job Loss

How the process works

Contact me with a ceremony idea, and we’ll arrange a no-obligation meeting to discuss your significant life event. If we are a good match and you decide to hire me, I’ll send you a questionnaire to get more information about your life experiences and your hopes and desires. I’ll use these details to draft a unique and personalized ceremony. You will have complete control over your ceremony, and we’ll communicate by phone and email until you are perfectly satisfied with the wording and all ceremony elements. I will perform your ceremony on your special day, and will gift you with a keepsake copy of your ceremony.

I would be honoured to assist you in creating a one-of a kind ceremony for your rite-of-passage.
